Welcome to Sandhurst Consulting Rooms. We are proud to offer a range of services to meet the needs of the Central Victorian community.
Our team of experienced and qualified medical professionals are committed to providing quality and compassionate care to our patients. We provide a range of specialist services focused on Endocrinology, Diabetes, Podiatry and Perioperative Medicine (optimisation of medical conditions before planned surgery).
Our team is highly experienced and consists of 2 Consultant Physicians, a Diabetes Educator and Podiatrist.

Podiatrst and Practice owner. Pam graduated from Salford, England with a Frist Class Honours degree in Podiatry. She opened the Rooms in 2017.

Only for Podiatry with appropriate Medicare Compliant Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan from your GP (the fee is paid upfront and then this is rebated immediately as long as you have a debit card).
Specialists and the Diabetes educator charge an out of pocket with the appropriate Medicare Rebate returned to your bank account (with valid Debit Card and for in person consultations only) for those who have a Medicare Card. Details of appointment types available on application.
Yes, Medicare Referrals are valid for doctors in the same speciality at the same address. We have an Endocrine Specialist and an Endocrine Fellow (an established consultant specialist physician who is further developing his skills in Endocrinology). There is some difference in availability and wait times - please call for more information.
Please note however, that changing doctors after initial consultation with another is difficult without a New and Separate Referral from your GP (Medicare Rules).
We have one Respiratory and Sleep Specialist presently but he is no longer taking new referrals.

Yes, at the discretion of the doctor; we are very accommodating but sometimes in person review is required. Standard length "remote" telephone or video consultations are charged at the relevant full rate and a receipt post to permit the claiming of the appropriate Medicare Rebate.

Specialised Endocrine conditions such as: thyroid disease; male sexual health and assessment for testosterone replacement therapy; menopause; osteoporosis; pituitary; adrenal; and PMOS (or "PCOS").
Endocrinology and Perioperative assessment
As well as seeing Endocrine and Diabetes patients, Dr Hashemi offers perioperative assessment and optimisation of all medical conditions in order to maximise recovery from Elective Surgeries. Abouzar has much experience in this area, running a public hospital clinic in this speciality.
